Christmas is Coming, Time to Bake!

Well, now that Halloween is behind us and Rememberance Day is fast approaching, we’ve brought out our Christmas baking supplies for those who like to get an early start for their cookie exchanges! What is a cookie exchange, you ask? It can be as simple or elaborate as you’d like, but in general it’s a great way to share family favorites and find new recipes. Exchanging your cookies allows you to bake a large batch of a few types, and then share to give everyone a great variaty for their home!

Come into the store to see our Christmas baking pans, cookie cutters, sprinkles and wrappers! Wilton tools make it easy for everyone to get involved, and we have a book to walk you through it step by step if you need a little extra help.

Let the Holidays begin!

Is your Turkey thawing?

It’s that time of the year again! Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Whether you do the traditional turkey with all the fixin’s, or something a little different such as a ham or roast, it’s great to have a feast with family and friends when we can all relax together. If your turkey was frozen, I hope you have it thawing for Sunday, or you can pull it out now for Monday. This gives it enough time to thaw safely in the refrigerator. If your family likes crispier skin, unwrap your turkey the night before and leave it in the refrigerator.

To help your turkey cook evenly in the oven, make sure you don’t overstuff it; a looser stuffing will promote heat circulation. Also, no peeping! Fluctuating oven temperatures will contribute to your bird drying out.

We’ve got some great tools for turkeys and other thanksgiving favorites in the store, all at 20% to celebrate the holiday! Come on in and find out just how easy it can be to truss your bird, lift it out of the roaster, and make all the best fixin’s for your feast!
